The graphic on this Tee from Declaration features The Turtle, Americaʼs first submarine. Turtle was designed by David Bushnell and was intended to drill holes into the bottom of the British warships and plant explosive powder kegs. In its maiden and only voyage, the pilot Ezra Lee was unable to penetrate the hull of a British ship and the bomb detonated causing no damage.
